AASHTO Accreditation Deadlines Changed from 90 to 60 days

Jan 04, 2018

The New Year brings an important change to AASHTO Accreditation Program deadlines.

For assessments completed in 2018, the deadline for submitting corrective actions and supporting documentation is now 60 days from the date the final report was issued.  This change impacts both AASHTO re:source and CCRL on-site assessments.

While the initial set of corrective actions are due at 60 days, laboratories that have substantially resolved the nonconformities by that deadline will receive up to another 30 days to finalize the process.  This change was made in response to customer requests to allow more time to submit modifications to corrective actions or supporting documentation after the laboratory’s initial corrective actions did not resolve the nonconformities.

Please refer to the language in Section 4.4.4 of the Procedures Manual for the Accreditation of Construction Materials Testing Laboratories for complete details regarding this change.  If you have any questions about this language, please let us know.

More information on how to resolve AASHTO re:source and CCRL report findings can be found in the re:University section of our website.
